1. Know what you want. First off, you should determine the condition you work best. Do you need to be inside a very confined cubicle just like at work? 2. Add in more light. A well-lighted room is always better than a dark one. Light gives off energy. A poorly lit room, on the other hand, is conducive to rest and relaxation. You are going to need lights especially if you are expecting walk-in clients.

4. Consider comfort. Of course, you are going to spend almost the entire day inside your home office. You should make sure that the furniture you have in place are all ergonomic. 5. Think privacy. You are setting up your home office because you wanted to put a division between your home and work. Else, you can just do all those work in the guest room. So as much as possible, keep private. Make sure that you that the privacy inside your office is ensured. This is needed not only you but by your clients as well.
